Bunny von Karatz has always been dedicated to designing the very highest quality jewellery only made from precious stones and metals, especially sapphires and gold. Despite this, Bunny has been a pioneer of ethical jewellery manufacture, having seen at first hand the working conditions in South America, Africa and Asia at many mines. Bunny only sources her gems from those mines and companies not exploiting their workers, especially using children. For this reason, we favour Asian and especially Sri Lankan gems over many others, preferring small family run mines to large industrial mining companies.    

Today Bunny von Karatz sticks to those principles, buying from ethical sources for both gems and metals and insisting on the very highest working conditions for its craftsmen.
